Parents and students, I would like to thank you so much for your great outpouring of prayer, love, and support at the loss of my daughter, Kathleen. I appreciate all the cards, Masses, prayer, and kindness you have shown me and my family at this time of deep sorrow. It has been a great consolation to know so many people are praying for us. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Monday, May 14 -- All-school liturgy to honor the teachers who are leaving Holy Infant at the end of this school year.

Friday, May 18 -- All-school liturgy at 8:00 a.m. before field day. We are bringing items for the food pantry. Sixth grade should bring pancake mix & syrup or jam/jelly. Thank you for your generosity.

Field Day from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Each room is divided into a green team and a gold team for the days' activities. The children have been told which team they are on and the color of shirt to wear. The shirts should have sleeves. Appropriate athletic shorts should be worn and tennis shoes with socks. Please apply sunscreen before coming to school.

Please return spring pictures/money as soon as possible.

Science: We have started chapter 10, lesson 1, "Chemical Changes." I hope to be able to finish lessons 1 and 2 before the end of the year.

English: We have begun the chapter on adverbs.

Religion: We continue our Family Life program. Students have a quiz over every two lessons. They may use their books for these quizzes and will receive a grade for each quiz.

Spelling/Vocabulary: For the rest of the year, we will review the vocabulary words that we have learned this year.
